Here we will study the forming methods of stainless steel pipe making molds according to the pipe shapes.
According to the shapes of stainless steel pipes, stainless steel pipe making mold can be divided into round pipe making mold, square pipe making mold, rectangular pipe making mold, elliptical pipe making mold. The above are some simple conventional shapes of pipe making molds, and these pipe making molds are relatively simple in design. The way they are shaped is basically curled into a circle at the beginning, and the rear section is slightly deformed, and then these pipe shapes can be produced. That is to say, the “deformation in the front section and forming in the rear section” often used in our stainless steel welded pipe industry. This is a conventional mold design.
The other is the design of fancy shaped control pipe molds. There are three molding design methods for this pipe making mold. One is front-end molding, the second is rear-end molding, and the other is mixed molding. Let's take an example.
For example, the grooved tube is divided into a slotted round tube and a slotted square tube. It is obvious different. The pipe making mold used for the slot round pipe is the former molding method, while the slot square pipe mold uses the double forming method of the front molding and the rear molding. The front section welds the slot tube into a slotted round tube, and then the rear section squeeze it into a square tube.
There are also some pipes, such as triangular pipes, which use the typical back-end forming methods. After the steel belt is welded into a pipe, it is extruded into a triangle under the extrusion of a back-end stainless steel pipe making mold.
No matter you use which kind of forming methods of pipe making mold, as long as the molding design is reasonable, the processing technology is accurate, the heat treatment is done thoroughly, and at the same time it is in line with the pipe making master's use and debugging habits, you can make a good set of pipe making mold.
